For what is believed to be the first time ever - professional boxing is coming to Marinette! The event will be held at the Marinette REC Center, Marinette, Wisconsin on Veteran’s Day, Saturday, November 11, 2023.
The card is scheduled to include two (2) – 8 round fights; two (2) – 6 round fights; and four (4) - 4 round fights.
While all of the bouts match fighters of equal heart and ability, the main event pits Hector Herrera and Joe "De Fumar" Perez, two (2) warriors who, throughout their careers, have proved willing to fight whoever is put in front of them. The fight should be as entertaining a war as boxing has to offer! All together, there will be three (3) fights for State sanctioned championship belts.
As usual, a portion of the profits will go to charity. Previous events have allowed us to make donations to the Marinette Rescue Squad; Marinette Hockey Association; Marinette High School fishing and trap teams; St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital; St. Vincent de Paul - Marinette; Menominee YMCA; Menominee DAR; and Marinette’s Haven of Hope Homeless Shelter.
