Review your experience with Tacoma Opera
Fantastic! Best and most entertaining La Boheme I've experienced.
Fantastic performance! Great voices and acting. As newbies to Tacoma is was a little difficult to figure out parking near by. We will defenitely attend future events.
Excellent production despite very uncomfortable seating.
Easy to get in and find our seats
Easy to buy tickets. Parking and entry were both easy. . Had one question beforehand which I emailed. I received a very quick and professional response from Silke Harper. She is great! I wish the seat cushions could be replaced. We are both seniors and our backs are sore! We are so glad to have a cultural outing in these economically depressed times. Thank you!
We had to leave after act 2 as the seats were cramped to sit in. A real disappointment
Beautiful opera!
Awesome performances by Mimi and Rodolfo and Musetta and Marcello! Beautiful sets and costumes! We enjoyed the Sunday show so much! Congratulations!
I love the beauty and the intimacy of the Pantages Theater. Our Center Loge seats made the subtitles easy to see while taking in everything on stage. The story in the event brochure prepared us to follow the actions on stage. The Theater staff were very helpful.
The answer below should continue that the section starting "con grande express." appears to have been cut, rendering the last notes of the opera less touching. MY name is Syra Puett, 1246 S. Huson, Tacoma. P.S. the first version that I saw starred Renata Tebaldi, but I am certainly not comparing that one with this one.
We thoroughly enjoyed our first full opera. Thank you.
Fantastic opera. I loved every minute of it. The singing was amazing.
Tacoma ope is raising the bar on professional opera. Watch out Seattle!
Managing director is doing an outstanding job!
Classy. Very well organized and enjoyable.
Everything about it was great
Absolutely love the Tacoma Opera
Great show The best way ever to enjoy a Sunday afternoon. The staff was very courteous
An incredibly enjoyable afternoon.
Who needs to go to Seattle to see honest to goodness, fabulous opera? Tacoma Opera is no Second City for great opera!!!
Comfortable seats. Good sight lines. Could hear the singers clearly.
Amazing!
Linda and I have long had at least some degree of connection with Tacoma Opera, via attending productions, special opera events, and, over time, knowing many Tacoma Opera patrons. However, in more recent years, Tacoma Opera has become a local arts organization for which we have developed a stronger association, an association that has deepened through our ever-increasing respect for Lim and Chavalch Forgey, their diverse talents and the work they are doing.
Well worth the cost of admission. So much talent and joy on stage!
Of course I love Tacoma Opera I'm a board member and an opera lover and I think we do a great job
I had a good relaxing feeling before I even entered the theater. I was greeted very warmly at theater door. The person helped me very much with checking in.She was so warm and friendly. It was my first time using my ticket using my cell phone. I told myself that I need to get out more often. I was given the information where to go from there. Most HELPFUL . Thank You. .
Exquisite
I was very impressed with the production quality and the outstanding singers. The sound was stunning.
The shows are always so much fun! The Pantages is a beautiful theater and I really enjoy seeing the Tacoma Opera there.

How did you like the event?
A friend (who had never been to an opera) joined me for this performance and loved it. The music was beautiful as were the voices and backdrops/scenery. I especially enjoyed seeing all the young talent on stage.
Enjoy every moment!
Along with the voices, the fluid, natural acting made this production a standout. Although Mimi (Kristin Vogel) had some trouble expressing the high notes, her voice blended seamlessly with Rodolfo's (Nathan Granner). I saw some audience tears at the end. All the principals made their characters come alive, and Benoit's (Miles Rind) turn provided welcome comic relief in a bass baritone that became the center of attention when he was on stage.
Loved watching our granddaughter sing -- and her loving it!
Nathan Granner and the orchestra were, to me, both outstanding! Thank you Tacoma Opera!
I took my mother-in-law to this opera as she expressed that she'd really love to go. I was pleasantly surprised that we both lived it! The story brought me to tears. And to think, I thought I was going for her! (Thank you for the reader board in English. So helpful.)
Loved the event! The voices of Mimi and Rodolfo were incredible, and all the acting was great, very believable! Thank you!
I am glad that you pulled in a large audience of families. i hope you won new fans to fill the seats. As for my opinion about the production, I have seen so many versions of this one that i am probably not one to give a fair review. Just two comments: the singers sang their high notes too long, often to the detriment of the action. I don't understand why the Piu Sostenuto section of the fourth act was played forte. It is written pp to echo happier times. The wh

Wonderful. Thank you so much. It was a beautiful performance.
Mimi was my fav! Every voice a treasure! Better than Seattle opera!!!! And a better value too.
I was amazing! Beautiful performance!!
What a treat Tacoma Oprera/company's matinee' performance,of "LaBoheme"was to a community that treasures music so muchthat it provide rsalltoypesof musical experience and instruction insstry=ucion=achibg i ibstrumental and l rihhcommuniitysdterday's "
In love with Nathan Granners voice! Thank you for introducing him to us.
It was a wonderful experience. I hope to see many more operas in the coming months.
Loved the tenor. Felt no chemistry between Rodolfo and Mimi and her volume on the frequent high notes hurt my ears. It would work outside, but too much for the space we were in. Musetta was sung and played well. My problem with the production was that I have seen too many Bohemes by the Met. Not fair to a small opera company. You guys did great. Loved the kids. Loved the community spirit. Long live opera!
Spectacular opera
Awesome talent was on display. Top notch experience. Looking forward to the next performance.
Truly enjoyed the performance.
The Tacoma Opera production of La Boheme was absolutely spectacular! Every aspect was top notch -- the principal singers, the chorus, the orchestra, the staging, the sets and costumes. We will definitely be back for future performances.
Appreciated the English translation. Singers were excellent. Enjoyed my first opera.
Fabulous
Cast was wonderful! Set was great.
Talent was good, but I didn't care for the story of

I loved this multigenerational arts focus and the youth both on stage and in the upper balcony. Legacy work!
Excellent, moving performance and a gorgeous venue.
What an incredible performance. Beyond impressed.
Everything was presented with polish and professionalism.
It was a wonderful way to celebrate my birthday!
We greatly enjoyed the evening. At it, we visited with a male friend who is a singer and who has performed and studied opera, including in Italy. His comments helped affirm our own strong dominantly positive feelings about the performance. We felt the lead singers to be especially fine--but we felt that a couple of the support singers were a bit less so. For many reasons, we think it's wonderful and wise that children have been included in recent productions.
Lovely venue. Loads of talent on stage.
The three lead singers were specially good and the kids course was well timed with the orchestra. Overall a delightful performance.
From the very beginning when I sat down on the most comfortable theater sets I ever.sat on.The theater is breath taking, and magical. The performers in this Opera were magnificent in there performance. I loved how the vocal traslation was visibly set high above so everyone could follow the story. The children were amazing and delightful. You All made this a very special and memorable night. I want to Thank You All from the bottom of my heart ♥.
I loved Boheme The cast was fantastic and I so enjoyed meeting them after the show. Our Parpignol was a small role but so outstanding and the rest of the cast was really really great as well.
Gorgeous production, soaring arias! Don’t miss this exciting show!
had a great time!
Outstanding performance
Wonderful performance. We thoroughly enjoyed it.
Just so well done!
Great seats! Perfect view of the supertitles. This was so well-produced, directed, and performed. Loved the cast! The sets were so well done (the snow was amazing!) The orchestra was superb. And of course, I always love love love the Pantages!
I seemed like it was the same plot as rent. Can they do that?
It was great!
