Review your experience with Megabyte Nation Gaming Expo
This was a complete waste on money
The website was not very complete or easy to access. Some sections (autograph signers) were detailed, others had very little information. Information was available on socials but there were no easy-to-find links. Overall, the website just needs more effort and attention and detail next time. And the agenda for each day should be more accessible, more complete and more accurate. Include a schedule of panels and speakers. The Smash Bros. tournament was not listed.
Not enough stuff to see from a vendor experience.
The entrance fee felt too high for the amount of things to do. I spent 50 bucks for the privilege to spend another 200 bucks.
Had a great time Saturday. Found some good retro gaming deals. Met some Resident Evil voice actors. Arcade was a lot of fun and the bands were great!
Advertised as a “gaming expo” only for it to be a lineup of 20 vendors selling the same resold shovelware slop to whoever they can get to buy into the nostalgia. Retro arcade lineup was boring. Whose idea was this? Put a notice on check in times for tournaments 🤨
despite current events, I was able to attend 2 of the 3 days and it was amazing, all the guests were kind and enjoyed the meetings, the panels were informative and entertaining, the cosplays were unique and the arcade titles despite some tech errors were fun, and a kicked me in the nostalgia playing with friends and voice actors alike
Great expo my only feedback is that if possible include more arcade machines and maybe expand the video game console.
Great event! Took my nephew and he had a lot of fun playing arcade games and looking at the awesome artwork of some of the vendors. Would highly recommend and attend again next year.
I thought it was inappropriate that the event wasn’t rescheduled in the face of a natural disaster. Being affected by the LA fires and unable to go, I requested a refund that is yet to be acknowledged.
Comparing this to other cons, this didn't even register on the scale. It barely filled one room. Was able to get thru it in 25min...if that. Walking from the parking to the room took longer. 8 pinball and a few dozen arcades? I've seen mancaves with more than that. What the hell. All this wud have been fine if it was like a 20 dollar tkt. But 50? That's almost as much as LA COMIC con and that was Amazing with lots to see and do. I mean come on. There cud h
Payment and delivery went smoothly.
Cool mario kart tournament and nice to see other players compete. Got my moneys worth with free arcades. Not a lot of people due to fires but overall a cool experience thank you!
The concept seemed fun but there weren't enough things to do at the con.
Event seemed empty. Compared to other Expo's this one was severely lacking. Guests, Talks, Booths, Events, etc. It seemed empty and NOT worth the $40 spent per ticket.
By far the worst gaming expo I've ever been to. I was done with the event in literally 15 minutes. Hardly any vendors, not enough sessions by far, some of the arcade machines weren't working. Seriously guys, $50? are you out of your mind?
I really thought that there would be big game developers out showing the newest and coolest, but it was more of a flea market for video game collectors...
it was ok the tournament was the only good thing.
Great screen to watch players compete. Great arcade games. Great guest
it was alright
Good event
The event has potential to grow. I wish there was more of everything. More vendors, more panels, more artists booths, more actors/celebrities to meet, and more games set up to play.
Just awesome
Needs to be more spread out. Not a lot of vendors. Not worth $40 each
Too small with not enough vendors and the price is not worth it. The DJ they had playing music was terrible. The voice actors at this event were essentially no name people I've never heard of and you can tell it was the same for everyone else because they had zero lines of fans.
it was fun meeting celebrity and thing I want to buy.
Getting in was simple. Food wasn't half bad. Primarily went for Smash bros tournament. Didn't realize participants needed to bring their own wired controller. Arcade was a blast.
Purchasing the tickets was quick and easy. We were expecting more activities and show casing new games coming out.
My son had the most amazing time he requested to go two days in a row.
The event and the price met my expectations, I will definitely come back to this event!!!!!

How did you like the event?
It was a bit barebones but still a fun event. Hopefully for the next one there will be more vendors.
The event was fun, pretty much as expected - nothing extraordinary but good for game shopping and retro arcade play. The food was terrible and outrageously expensive. Panels were interesting but no schedule was given. It was a little unclear what was happening on each day - some activities like cosplay were clearly on a certain day, others were not clear.
Not worth it at all. Vendors were boring and uninteresting, all selling the same slop garbage for insane prices. While I respect the talent of the voice actors dedicating their time to come see fans, the lineup was less than ideal, and relying on cosplayers of all people to fill up booths is a strange choice. I got disqualified from the fighting game tournament for not showing up to a made-up check-in time, wasting my evening entirely and the $40 I spent on the ticket.
The check-in system where a person scans your tickets and then a different person hands you a wristband could use some fine tuning. Other than that, I loved the performances, free play arcade and tournament area. Thank you guys for creating a space for the gaming community. Not just for retro game fans, but fighting and modern game fans too. I know that if you guys keep this momentum going, this con can grow into being one of the greats.
It was fun playing the old pinball and arcade games for about a half an hour. After that I walked around and saw tons of PlayStation, X-box, Nintendo, and Wii games, but not a single PC game anywhere. I was also hoping to see some VR games/demos, but not a one
Loved the Free Arcades!
Guest list was cool but vendor hall was bare and hardly any variety to shop at.
I’m sure it’s because it’s a first time event (I think?) but the $40 per person on top of parking and hassle commuting to the LA Covention Center was not worth it at all. I had to force myself to buy something to make the trip worth it, but I didn’t even really see much I wanted. I go to most of the anime conventions in the area mostly for gaming content (artist merch, game merch, etc.) and didn’t find a lot here. I expected more
Event was empty. Compared to other Expo's this one was severely lacking. Guests, Talks, Booths, Events, etc. It seemed empty and NOT worth the $40 spent per ticket.
Great line up of guests, wished there were more exhibits but it’s understandable considering it’s a brand new event, I hope it gets better in the future and I would even consider renting a space for my artist alley stuff.
No new games, just old used collectables...
Not a lot of vendors, parking is expensive. I think another venue that doesn't require $25 parking would be a big improvement. Also 3+ for child ticket? So Cal doesn't charge for kids until 6 and they pick venues with cheaper parking and you get a lot more for the same ticket price. I get it's their first year, but there is a lot of room for improvement, for what i spent to attend I'm not sure if I'd go next year
the booths were all the same selling old games. no variety such as apparel, gaming goods, artists, or big sponsored booths. was a bit underwhelming
Registration for gaming competition needs to be a little bit more organized
Much variety
Despite it being a small event, I did enjoy everything that was there.
Needs more
Great event to unified dad's and soons.
The small amount of vendors there were really nice and had some decent product for sale but I would not come to this event again.
good show.
Was fun. Would go again
The even was fine. Would have been better with more activities and a showcase of what the future holds for video games and how AI would affect them if at all.
My son had the most amazing time. He went 2 days in a row. He is 13.
The event was an amazing turnout!!!!!!
With the fires in Los Angeles the event was lacking, not everyone was there, such a huge place so little vendors.
The event was great. Because it was small, we thought we were done with everything around 1, which is when we visited the arcade machines and watched some of the music and panels and visited some of the choice actors. It was very laid back and I enjoyed having the time to actually sit down and relax at the expo.
I like the event so far especially meeting a few voice actors and playing old school arcades
Small expo. I thought it would be larger. The tournament should have a large TV for everyone to watch instead of standing around a small table. Our favorite part of the expo was the free arcade games and pinball. Not sure we will attend again at that ticket price.

This event was a joke. We walked in the Saturday, afternoon, to what was basically an empty hall. Maybe 40% of the booths that should have had people in them were filled. It looked like a f'ing ghost town. There was little to do with modern day gaming which is what EVERYBODY there expected and instead, the majority of the booths (that actually had vendors) were selling old games... WTF?
It just needs more vendors.
Had a great time Saturday. Found some good retro gaming deals. Met some Resident Evil voice actors. Arcade was a lot of fun and stayed around to watch the bands. Looking forward to next years!
I enjoyed it and would return next year.
As I was saying, there could have been more tournaments or contests with prizes! Maybe spread out the arcade area so it's not all bunched up elbow to elbow, i mean dang u had enough space to spread em. Also, how bout some VR games that would have been cool. But jeez this was just underwhelming. Either reduce the tkt price or level up! Another thing, gimme a damn T-shirt if it's gonna be this shitty. Only for VIPs? I could only imagine how mad I'd be if that's the big wh

The event was disappointing. The room had a poor layout that left too much space for meet-and-greet (which did not attract many guests) and not enough room for the vendors to properly display their items. There was also a lack of variety in the type of vendors. The arcade section was the highlight, but the games were too close too each other, leaving many people bunched up together. Many of the games were broken. There also needed to be a public schedule of events.
Had so much fun!
It was extremely lame and not worth $50
Looking forward to next year! :-)
Had a great time! I heard music from my childhood, Tony Hawk Pro Skater 2! Lots of vendors selling all sorts of games, peripherals and merchandise. Tons of arcade machines to play. Saw a 16-player Mario Kart Double Dash LAN. So cool. And got to meet people who did voiceover work for my favorite games. Cool stuff and would be down to check it out again!
Terrible! Barely any vendors. Price of admission to high.
Event was decent. It felt like it had the backbones of a good convention but needed a little more booths, events and activities. The tournaments were a bit unclear on what was going on and the sounds / speaker systems were a bit all over the place but otherwise was an ok event.
My first time attending. I thought there would be sim game vendors.
It was a pretty sad event. This should never have cost over $50 for one day. At Best it's a $10 event. It was just like 20 tables of video game resellers charging exorbitant amounts for used games. Also just like 10 voice actors doing autographs. I literally walked the entire event and explored every booth in under 30 minutes. Ended up spending $100 with parking, entry, and a drink/snack. Unless next year is $10 I will never come back. There are better Expos for Less.
I loved the musicians. I wish I would have thought to bring games to get signed, but it's really cool to see voice actors in person.
Wish there wouldve been more for the price it was. Very disappointing
This was disappointing for the price. At $50 I expected more than a single room with a couple rows of vintage game dealers, which I can get for free in the Game Realms parking lot once a month, and a row of Video Game actors charging for autographs. This kind of event I would expect to be around $25. But at half the price of a ticket to a Theme Park? No way. I will not be coming back unless it's at least twice the size for $50, or reduce the ticket price to $25.
Gaming expo was not what I expected it to be. It was very dull. Attendance was low. No alcohol was available to purchase.
Would like to have had clearer information on the gaming competitions before the event. Times and requirements. For example. Mario Brothers completion at 3pm bring your own ps5 controller.
I thought there would be more machines available. Many people camped out at the machines and did not leave. Perhaps a monitor or way to limit free play when someone is waiting. I hope to see it get bigger
The event was awesome! My friend and I played the free play video games for almost 6 hours, plenty to choose from. We also had a cheeseburger 🍔 at the event and that was delicious also. Lots of great booths to shop for games and merchandise at. The location was great, parking was ample and easy to access. We certainly hope this becomes a yearly event, right where it was located this weekend. Thanks to everyone who put this together!!!😊👍 &#
not many vendors there and not enough artists. place was almost empty. i couldnt imagine buying 3 days
The event was a success for me as I was able to meet an advertised voice actor. The exhibit hall was a very large space which made the event seem small. The free play arcade was generally a good experience. In my opinion, this event should lean more into offering the arcade experience to the general attendee for all day entertainment. "Gaming Expo" More arcade machines and better maintained ones. (Some step panels on DDR machine we're not working properly)
Would not recommend to anyone to attend
It was not worth 50$ whatsoever. Very small, not enough vendors and most of the voice actors weren't there
For what it was the event was decent. Good selection of celebrities, activities and Vendors.

for a first-time con for both the event and myself, I couldn't have left happier I look forward to future events and my only regret is I couldn't go all 3 days
Timing for a Friday felt short. It was my first time going to this event & wasn't expecting it to be big but thought there be more. Maybe advertise the event more. With the fire happening its not the events fault, we have more important matters happening in LA at the moment. Also I felt really cold when playing games. Make it at room temperature if possible. For playing on Sunday for a tournament I need my hands warm to perform my best.
Not enough things to do, very small event. nothing special
I was not able to go because I bought tickets and you did honor. You guys never got back with me. You guys just took my money and that's not right I am highly disappointed. Gary Stevenson
I don’t want to be too harsh because it’s very possible this event was negatively impacted by the fires, but wow was it bad! Most of the PC’s weren’t working to play games on, many of the arcade games didn’t work, and the amount of activities was underwhelming. The overall layout of the space was very weird too with the handful of vendors that did show off to the right and then way off to the left with the wall of voice actors. I feel ripped off by this event!
Tiny, sad, lacking, boring. I didn't expect it to be one little room with nothing going on. I was expecting something along the lines of a mini E3, but this was beyond anything bad I could've imagined. It was empty, half the game machines didn't work, the PS5 only had like 2 games on it, which were all taken the entire time, there were no Nintendo switches to play (I brought my controller) -- just a completely lackluster "event" overall.
I'm looking forward on seeing this event again.
Super fun and love the concept overall. Just wish there was more artist vendors and more panels so there is a reason for me to stay the whole day.
Tickets are too much for very little exhibitors. Lots of empty space in the hall. Very disappointed. Definitely not worth $40.
It was a good smaller convention. Lots of floor space tgat could be utilized well. Check into the Shrine Auditorium, unsure if its less expensive to rent out, floor space wouldve been perfect for the amount of guest/vendors, arcades and stages. Just a thought
Yes, I attended from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. I especially enjoyed the GameCube gaming stations, which ran Mario Kart DoubleDash, 1080 Snowboarding, and Kirby. I was able to talk and learn Megabyte Nation hosts many events for gamers to come together and compete. Personally, this was my first ever video-game event. I was NOT disappointed. Until Next, Ramirez, Ismael I.
Loved the whole event! Hope it comes back next year as vendors!
Free play arcade was fun for adults and kids but many were not functioning
For the price it was not worth it.
It was cool 🆒! Me and my 2 kids liked!!
I'll be back next year.
The event was really fun but I wish they were more vendors. There were only about 15-18
Awesome, would definitely recommend and come back again. The games were neat and old games are in abundance.
Will not recommend.
Could have been a lot better tbh.
The expo was really small. Not much to see but a few booths The kids enjoyed the videogames. But that was all. Not going again.
It could have been better as more promotion could have been done but I feel as it was a good start. I hope to see it next year in as it is something that can gain a lot of attention.
Wish there wasn’t the Los Angeles fires
Underwhelming event, too little people, paid too much for the price of two for one little area section
