Formerly the Candy Cane Rescue USA Fundraising Group, this organization was founded March 7, 2019 by and for members dedicated to helping raise awareness and funds for greyhounds and other dogs from the meat trade in China and galgos and podencos in Spain. Once rescued, the dogs are rehabilitated and homed in the USA, Canada, the UK and other European countries. The founders of the Flying Dog Foundation, an all volunteer 501(c)(3) charity, are American animal and dog lovers, greyhound adopters, former board members of greyhound rescue groups, and experienced greyhound adoption supporters. We believe with great passion in helping dogs escape nightmare circumstances.
