At a young age, singer/songwriter Barb Scott chased her dream to become a professional entertainer, and achieved a small amount of success as a dancer, singer and actress, until tragedy struck her family and she chose to abandon that dream for many years to care for ill family members – in addition to fighting a successful two-year personal battle against breast cancer.
After the devastating loss of her mother, Barb used singing and songwriting as a way to cope with her grief and began writing tender, sincere, heartfelt songs dealing not only with loss but a wide-range of emotions and issues brought about from her years as a caregiver, survivor and observer of the human condition.
