Six awkward spelling champions learn that winning (and losing) isn’t everything, in this musical comedy presented by Westinghouse Arts Academy students.
An eclectic group of tweens vie for the spelling championship of a lifetime. While candidly disclosing hilarious and touching stories from their home lives, they spell their way through a series of (potentially made-up) words, hoping never to hear the soul-crushing, pout-inducing, life un-affirming "ding" of the
bell that signals a spelling mistake. “We’re so glad to be back on a stage in front of a real audience again,” says Nick Lenz, director of the show. “This is going to be a really fun show, that really plays to the strengths of our diverse students’ talents.”
