Sutton Coldfield Town Hall presents a new monthly program of Live Jazz, fresh for 2025.
The upcoming shows will feature some of the finest musicians from across the country. The performance will take place in one of the Town Hall's most beautiful spaces: The Crush Hall! And it guarantees to be a night of unforgettable live music!
Spotlight on 'Beebe'
Trio performance
Chris ‘Beebe’ Aldridge is regarded as one of the UK’s finest saxophonists. He has toured with Gary Barlow, Ben E King, Tony Christie, Bizarre Inc, Roy Wood, Geno Washington, Jaki Graham, Marti Pellow, Liam Payne, The Contours, Kiki Dee, Climax Blues Band amongst others, and has appeared with jazz icons such as Pee Wee Ellis, Bud Shank, Gerard Presencer, John Dankworth and Victor Mendoza. He has also recorded alongside jazz artists such as Billy Cobham, Bob Mintzer, Bob James, Gary Husband and Martin Taylor. Beebe was featured on the DJ Spoony show on Radio One, where he taught him saxophone live on air to perform at a Craig David concert.
He is featured on numerous albums (Magnum, Alex Clare, Engelbert Humperdink, The Christians, Mother) and played on the number one single These Days by Jess Glynne, Macklemore, Dan Caplin and Rudimental. Beebe also records for TV and film including Cobra Kai and was featured in the original series of Teletubbies.
