Part dance party, part bedtime story, part rock concert, Joe Chvala's take on Alice's Adventures in Wonderland, incorporating students, professional dancers, and musicians into the show. Alice's weird and wonderful journey would seem perfectly suited to Chvala's antic imagination. Here he's made it a participatory, immersive theater experience for ages eight and up with live music by the wildly eclectic Balkan Band, aided and abetted by percussive genius Peter O'Gorman. Other Twin Cities luminaries involved in this multifaceted production are Sandy Spieler (puppet design) and Jeff Bartlett (lighting). Chvala himself will play the Mad Hatter (who else?) and other performers include modern-dance powerhouse Brian Evans as the Chesire Cat, Ed Williams as the White Rabbit, Jake Endres as the Queen of Hearts, Bryan Porter as the Duchess, and Flying Foot Forum regulars Rush Benson, Jan Campbell, Karla Grotting, Billy Mullaney, and Charles Robison.
