If you plan to attend two or more (2, 3, or 4) workshops AND the performance, buy instead a "Culture Day on the Island: Workshops and Performance" ticket, which will admit you to all the four workshops (Aikido, Japanese dance, Yosakoi, and Okinawan Taiko) AND the performance that follows the workshops at a discounted price.

 

JAPANESE DANCE FUNDAMENTALS - TAUGHT BY KAZUKO KAYA YAMAZAKI

Through simple exercises, participants learn how to be grounded, how to be balanced, and how to change directions in traditional Japanese dance movements. Participants also learn how to use dancing fans. No prior dance experience is necessary. Appropriate for adults, youth, and children ages 8+. Come in comfortable clothing and wear a pair of socks or tabi. No shoes.
