VIP & Tent City Space Reservations Reviews

   I am an avid yearly attendee at the Greater Hartford Festival of Jazz and can honestly say this was the worst year ever in my experience.

   Its always a great time at the jazz festival-even the rain dampened us but not our spirits!

   I would get five out of five stars, but I had to give four because of the whole muddy situation after the rain. It was just virtually impossible to leave out of the entrance because of all the mud from the rain they should’ve been something in place just in case something like this happened, all the experience was wonderful

   I reserved and paid for the same spot all 3 days. Upon my arrival Saturday I was told my spot was given away because he was told by the person in charge he was "free to give tent city spots away" He said he wouldn't feel right asking the people to move because he already told them it was alright"

   We always look forward to GHFJ!

   Tent numbers are not n order as marketed on website. Picked lower number as I thought we would be closer to the front.

     Excellent event. Have been coming for decades. WONDERFUL.

       We arrived late so I was really looking forward to a parking spot at the Capitol. But that was full, grrr. It was great to have seats waiting for us. I didn't realize we'd be offered sandwiches. Did that mean less business for your food truck vendors? It was odd to be in a gated community - sort of the opposite of what we like about Jazz in the park. But once we were settled in, we got used to being VIPs very quickly.

     What a great concept to have the private tent area - if only the employees working the event had been skilled in kindness and customer service. The winner of Best Employee of the Event goes to the gentleman who was at the entrance to the Legislative Parking Lot. He was awesome and I told him so. The golf cart driver had the right personality and attitude as well. The man at the entrance to the tent area itself needs to be working somewhere else

   The attendant up at the capital, but it was very rude when we went to go park. He was like there’s no parking included in the purchase blah blah blah. It took me to show my handicap sticker for him to allow us to park there and even after that he was just like stupid ass people. He was very rude.

   Great idea. But please enforce rules as some put up tents very close to us and hadn’t paid. And toilets ran out of toilet paper which should not happen in Tent City.

   Once again turned away from the Capitol parking - was told it was only for handicapped. I must have misunderstood your info about parking. I'm sorry there were not more people in VIP seating! Maybe better to skip it next year and just ask the people who did buy tickets to make a donation next year? By the way, I loved the sight of everyone with their lights on. There were a lot of people, and a lot of lights!
