Selah dance collective presents
The End of the End of the World
Our last performance in the theater was on February 28, 2020.
ATTENTION:Given the uncirtainty if the timing for local lifting of Covid restrictions, we are going to assume that the Covid restrictions will be in place for these shows and Center Stage Theater will update you if things change. All Patrons should be prepared to show proof of vaccination or a negative test and shoud purchase tickets accordingly.
After 14 months of rehearsing over Zoom, socially-distanced, and with masks, selah dance collective (SELAH) presents an evening of new works and guest choreography.
The end of the end of the world will present four new works with choreography by Amanda Keller, Chloé Roberts, and director Meredith Cabaniss Ventura. Each piece represents a different facet of the work that SELAH is best known for: versatile dance pieces that engages dancer, audience, and choreographer and challenges all to take an introspective approach to questions about human nature
In addition to the SELAH repertory, local dance artists Arianna Hartanov, Gianna Burright, and Katina Childs Muller will present new works. As the first “full audience” repertory dance show to be presented in Santa Barbara after the COVID-19 pandemic, SELAH is excited to showcase these artists who have continued to make work over Zoom, with masks, and through video as ways to stay engaged in their creative process even with COVID restrictions and safety measures in place.
