Prior to the performance, a livestream link and password will be emailed to you. The livestream will go live approximately 30 minutes before the start of the show, at the same time we open the house for the performance.  The livestream and chat will be monitored during the performance and we will work to correct any problems.  If there are issues you can email us at admin@centerstagetheater.org and we will do what we can to assist.  The livestream is only good for simultaneous viewing, it is not available after the live performance concludes.

A few notes about livestream:

1) The quality of the livestream is impacted by the internet and device on which you are watching it as well as the internet at the theater.

2) It is important to know that the lighting and sound that is used for video (including livestream) is very different than what is used for live performance.  This has to do with how the human eyes and ears work as opposed to how cameras and microphones do, the short answer is human eyes and ears are much more efficient.  What this means is that we can either suit the lighting and sound choices to the live performance, or we can design it to work best for livestream - but we can't do both. This performance is designed as a live performance, and we are streaming that, it was not designed to be watched as a video.  This means that some of the design choices simply are not going to look as beautiful in the livestream.  There will be times when it is overly bright and washed out, and other times when it is too dark for the camera. I wish this was not the case, but sadly it is. There may also be times that there is some blurring or fuzziness in the image, hopefully, this will be limited. The same is true for the sound.  The sound is being produced to best serve the live audience, which means at times it will not be ideal for the livestream.

3) Internet is the great equalizer.  One of the things that our pandemic-induced journey into livestream has taught us - sometimes the internet just is not great.  No matter if you pay for the highest possible speed, have a great router, and do everything right, sometimes the internet just decides to show us all who is boss and be crappy.  We apologize in advance if this happens and will do everything we can to make it right.

4) If the feed drops out while you are watching try refreshing the page a few times.  If you have multiple devices running on your internet, try turning off what you can to improve your feed.

5) Email us if you have trouble and we will try to help.

6) If you are not able to enjoy the performance due to technical difficulties, let us know and we will send you an on-demand video version, or refund your money.

Thank you for supporting this production of Collective Collaborative 2024 Livestream Only and Center Stage, we hope you enjoy the show!
