What is Summer school?  

CAPA College is proud to announce our next 5-day Summer Take-Over, offering young people, aged 8-16, the opportunity to gain experience and training in all aspects of the theatre and performance.

Dance Workshops – Commercial/Break Dance, Contemporary and Musical Theatre – Creative lessons where students can explore choreography ideas through modern day themes.  

 

Drama Workshops – Working on confidence building using drama activities, including devising, directing, script work and ensemble theatre.  

 

Singing Workshops – Expressing yourself through the power of song working on new and existing repertoire.

 

Masterclasses- With a variety of artists and professional companies across the three main disciplines.

What to expect?  

During the week participants will take part in singing, dancing and drama masterclasses, with professional artists who have performed in the West End, World renowned cruises and international acclaimed TV and film productions. Students will work towards a performance sharing at the end of the week.  

 

Previously, we have included lunch in our Summer School offer but based on feedback we will not be including this in 2025.  We will provide juice, yoghurt, cereal bars and juice and morning and afternoon breaks. 

 

This year we have also extended the hours from 9.30am-2.30pm to 9am-3.30pm in response to feedback gathered in 2024 when parents requested longer days to help with working pick-up/drop-off's being more in line with school).
