A Star Waiting to be Born will showcase Gabriella Wilson fighting for her dreams to become a successful black singer and she continues to face many challenges daily including racism, past-due bills, and trying to fund her mom’s surgery. Jennifer Hudson becomes her vocal coach and shows her the ins and outs of the music industry once she gets signed to a label for new voices but no matter how many promotion gigs she did it was never enough. She decided to look at things from a different perspective to try to grab her fan’s attention. Will this new song be the break she needs to be recognized and pay for her mom’s surgery or will she have to start from scratch again?
