   Loved the evening. The only reason for a 4 is that the music was too loud for the space (even with ear plugs). Additionally the sound system was "garbled." I couldn't understand anything they said. Still - this is a fabulous band. Great dance music. Get them back any time!!

 Dennis Stroughmatt is the real deal! He is a master of the accordion and fiddle, his band has experienced musicians, they play a wide variety of songs cajun, creole, zydeco, western swing, and old time rockabilly. I would love to have him back again next year.

How did you like the event?

   Our group had a lot of fun. The lesson was very helpful and the band was great. We loved the lady with the washboard and all instruments sounded wonderful. I appreciate how welcoming everyone is and the relaxed atmosphere. We're not very good at the dance steps, but it doesn't matter. The music and vibe is so upbeat, you can't sit still. Also, it's really nice to watch the pros and pick up some pointers.

   I prefer Sat night time slot, especially for a live band (and the floor at D Benson). I also prefer zydeco.

   Dennis Stroughmatt and his group played some great music. A mix of good zydeco and cajun music. Perfect for the mixed SwLa dance styles. Definitely recommend this band.
